HEBREWS 10:23 (2/2)

And when he had been made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation for all who obey him.Having been made perfect, he became to all of those who obey him the author of eternal salvation.
Therefore, let us leave behind the basic teaching about Christ and advance toward maturity. We must not be forever laying the foundation: repentance for actions that lead to death, faith in God, instruction about baptisms and the laying on of hands, the resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgment.Therefore leaving the teaching of the first principles of Christ, let’s press on to perfection—not laying again a foundation of repentance from dead works, of faith toward God, of the teaching of baptisms, of laying on of hands, of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.
For God would not be so unjust as to ignore your work and the love that you have shown for his name by the services you have rendered to the saints and still continue to render.For God is not unrighteous, so as to forget your work and the labor of love which you showed toward his name, in that you served the saints, and still do serve them.
Therefore, he has the full power to save those who approach God through him, since he lives forever to intercede for them.Therefore he is also able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through him, seeing that he lives forever to make intercession for them.
But Jesus has now received a ministry that is far superior, for he is the mediator of a far better covenant that has been established on better promises.But now he has obtained a more excellent ministry, by as much as he is also the mediator of a better covenant, which on better promises has been given as law.
I shall forgive them for their wicked deeds, and I shall remember their sins no more.For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness. I will remember their sins and lawless deeds no more.
How much more, then, will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without blemish to God, purify our conscience from acts that lead to death so that we may worship the living God.How much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without defect to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?
For this reason, he is the mediator of a new covenant, so that those who have been called may receive the promised eternal inheritance, since his death has served to redeem the sins that were committed under the first covenant.For this reason he is the mediator of a new covenant, since a death has occurred for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first covenant, that those who have been called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance.
Indeed, under the Law almost everything is purified by blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness.According to the law, nearly everything is cleansed with blood, and apart from shedding of blood there is no remission.
So Christ, having been offered once to take away the sins of many, will appear a second time, not to deal with sin but to bring salvation to those who are eagerly waiting for him.So Christ also, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time, not to deal with sin, but to save those who are eagerly waiting for him.

Bible verse of the day

The way of God is blameless,
and the Lord’s promise proves true;
he is a shield to all
who flee to him for safety.
