How I kept back nothing that was helpful, but proclaimed it to you, and taught you publicly and from house to house. | How I did not shrink from declaring to you anything that was beneficial, and teaching you publicly and from house to house. |
And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come. | This gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all the nations, and then the end will come. |
Therefore whatever you have spoken in the dark will be heard in the light, and what you have spoken in the ear in inner rooms will be proclaimed on the housetops. | Accordingly, whatever you have said in the dark will be heard in the light, and what you have whispered in the inner rooms will be proclaimed on the housetops. |
But as it is written: “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.” | But just as it is written: “Things which eye has not seen and ear has not heard, And which have not entered the human heart, All that God has prepared for those who love Him.” |
Now he who received seed among the thorns is he who hears the word, and the cares of this world and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word, and he becomes unfruitful. | And the one sown with seed among the thorns, this is the one who hears the word, and the anxiety of the world and the deceitfulness of wealth choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful. |
And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him. | And if we know that He hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests which we have asked from Him. |
Moreover if your brother sins against you, go and tell him his fault between you and him alone. If he hears you, you have gained your brother. | Now if your brother sins, go and show him his fault in private; if he listens to you, you have gained your brother. |
