One who turns his ear away from listening to the Law, Even his prayer is an abomination. | God detests the prayers of a person who ignores the law. |
Bless the Lord, my soul, And all that is within me, bless His holy name. | Let all that I am praise the Lord; with my whole heart, I will praise his holy name. |
The one who has found his life will lose it, and the one who has lost his life on My account will find it. | If you cling to your life, you will lose it; but if you give up your life for me, you will find it. |
And He Himself brought our sins in His body up on the cross, so that we might die to sin and live for righteousness; by His wounds you were healed. | He personally carried our sins in his body on the cross so that we can be dead to sin and live for what is right. By his wounds you are healed. |
