- Search for the Lord and for his strength;
continually seek him. - He will cover you with his feathers.
He will shelter you with his wings.
His faithful promises are your armor and protection. - Search for the Lord and for his strength;
continually seek him. - Indeed, the Sovereign Lord never does anything
until he reveals his plans to his servants the prophets. - The Lord gives his people strength.
The Lord blesses them with peace. - I have not departed from his commands,
but have treasured his words more than daily food. - When Jesus had tasted it, he said, “It is finished!” Then he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.
- I want to know Christ and experience the mighty power that raised him from the dead. I want to suffer with him, sharing in his death.
- But each day the Lord pours his unfailing love upon me,
and through each night I sing his songs,
praying to God who gives me life. - As the Scriptures say, “A man leaves his father and mother and is joined to his wife, and the two are united into one.”
- Give thanks to the Lord and proclaim his greatness.
Let the whole world know what he has done. - For since our friendship with God was restored by the death of his Son while we were still his enemies, we will certainly be saved through the life of his Son.
- For his anger lasts only a moment,
but his favor lasts a lifetime!
Weeping may last through the night,
but joy comes with the morning. - Oh, how great are God’s riches and wisdom and knowledge! How impossible it is for us to understand his decisions and his ways!
- The Lord is righteous in everything he does;
he is filled with kindness. - Sing praises to God and to his name!
Sing loud praises to him who rides the clouds.
His name is the Lord—
rejoice in his presence!
Father to the fatherless, defender of widows—
this is God, whose dwelling is holy. - He chose to give birth to us by giving us his true word. And we, out of all creation, became his prized possession.
- But the love of the Lord remains forever
with those who fear him.
His salvation extends to the children’s children
of those who are faithful to his covenant,
of those who obey his commandments! - In that wonderful day you will sing:
“Thank the Lord! Praise his name!
Tell the nations what he has done.
Let them know how mighty he is!” - But in my distress I cried out to the Lord;
yes, I prayed to my God for help.
He heard me from his sanctuary;
my cry to him reached his ears. - Serve only the Lord your God and fear him alone. Obey his commands, listen to his voice, and cling to him.
- Can he walk on hot coals
and not blister his feet? - A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.
- John’s clothes were woven from coarse camel hair, and he wore a leather belt around his waist. For food he ate locusts and wild honey.
- I am counting on the Lord;
yes, I am counting on him.
I have put my hope in his word.
Observe the requirements of the Lord your God, and follow all his ways. Keep the decrees, commands, regulations, and laws written in the Law of Moses so that you will be successful in all you do and wherever you go.You adulterers! Don’t you realize that friendship with the world makes you an enemy of God? I say it again: If you want to be a friend of the world, you make yourself an enemy of God. Others were given in exchange for you.
I traded their lives for yours
because you are precious to me.
You are honored, and I love you.Next verse!With image
