- Don’t be afraid, for I am with you.
Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you.
I will hold you up with my victorious right hand. - But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength.
They will soar high on wings like eagles.
They will run and not grow weary.
They will walk and not faint. - My health may fail, and my spirit may grow weak,
but God remains the strength of my heart;
he is mine forever. - For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength.
- He gives power to the weak
and strength to the powerless. - That’s why I take pleasure in my weaknesses, and in the insults, hardships, persecutions, and troubles that I suffer for Christ. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
- I love you, Lord;
you are my strength.
The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my savior;
my God is my rock, in whom I find protection.
He is my shield, the power that saves me,
and my place of safety. - For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.
- Search for the Lord and for his strength;
continually seek him. - But the Lord is faithful; he will strengthen you and guard you from the evil one.
- Be on guard. Stand firm in the faith. Be courageous. Be strong.
- But as for me, I will sing about your power.
Each morning I will sing with joy about your unfailing love.
For you have been my refuge,
a place of safety when I am in distress. - The Lord is my strength and shield.
I trust him with all my heart.
He helps me, and my heart is filled with joy.
I burst out in songs of thanksgiving. - O Sovereign Lord! You made the heavens and earth by your strong hand and powerful arm. Nothing is too hard for you!
- The Sovereign Lord is my strength!
He makes me as surefooted as a deer,
able to tread upon the heights. - A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.
- For the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires.
- Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think. Glory to him in the church and in Christ Jesus through all generations forever and ever! Amen.
- And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your mind, and all your strength.
- Yours, O Lord, is the greatness, the power, the glory, the victory, and the majesty. Everything in the heavens and on earth is yours, O Lord, and this is your kingdom. We adore you as the one who is over all things.
- This is what the Lord says to Zerubbabel: It is not by force nor by strength, but by my Spirit, says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies.
- The Lord gives his people strength.
The Lord blesses them with peace. - The message of the cross is foolish to those who are headed for destruction! But we who are being saved know it is the very power of God.
- Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me.
- For who is God except the Lord?
Who but our God is a solid rock?
They did not conquer the land with their swords;
it was not their own strong arm that gave them victory.
It was your right hand and strong arm
and the blinding light from your face that helped them,
for you loved them.Then I observed that most people are motivated to success because they envy their neighbors. But this, too, is meaningless—like chasing the wind.
