For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake, this is the one who will save it.For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it.
“Do I take any pleasure in the death of the wicked,” declares the Lord God, “rather than that he would turn from his ways and live?”Have I any pleasure at all that the wicked should die? saith the Lord God: and not that he should return from his ways, and live?
If you remain in Me, and My words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.
So will My word be which goes out of My mouth; It will not return to Me empty, Without accomplishing what I desire, And without succeeding in the purpose for which I sent it.So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.
For whoever wants to save his life will lose it; but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it.For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.
I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you should go; I will advise you with My eye upon you.I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.
And He was saying to them all, “If anyone wants to come after Me, he must deny himself, take up his cross daily, and follow Me.”And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.
Even to your old age I will be the same, And even to your graying years I will carry you! I have done it, and I will bear you; And I will carry you and I will save you.And even to your old age I am he; and even to hoar hairs will I carry you: I have made, and I will bear; even I will carry, and will deliver you.
For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake and the gospel’s will save it.For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel's, the same shall save it.
No, I tell you, but unless you repent, you will all likewise perish.I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.
Is this not the fast that I choose: To release the bonds of wickedness, To undo the ropes of the yoke, And to let the oppressed go free, And break every yoke?Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke?
When I am afraid, I will put my trust in You.What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee.
But I tell you the truth: it is to your advantage that I am leaving; for if I do not leave, the Helper will not come to you; but if I go, I will send Him to you.Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.
I am giving you a new commandment, that you love one another; just as I have loved you, that you also love one another.A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.
So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.
Do not fear, for I am with you; Do not be afraid, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, I will also help you, I will also uphold you with My righteous right hand.Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.
And He summoned the crowd together with His disciples, and said to them, “If anyone wants to come after Me, he must deny himself, take up his cross, and follow Me.”And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
Take words with you and return to the Lord. Say to Him, “Take away all guilt And receive us graciously, So that we may present the fruit of our lips.”Take with you words, and turn to the Lord: say unto him, Take away all iniquity, and receive us graciously: so will we render the calves of our lips.
I said to the Lord, “You are my Lord; I have nothing good besides You.”O my soul, thou hast said unto the Lord, Thou art my Lord: my goodness extendeth not to thee.
I know how to get along with little, and I also know how to live in prosperity; in any and every circumstance I have learned the secret of being filled and going hungry, both of having abundance and suffering need.I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.
Peace I leave you, My peace I give you; not as the world gives, do I give to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled, nor fearful.Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
But I say to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you.
Turn to my rebuke, Behold, I will pour out my spirit on you; I will make my words known to you.Turn you at my reproof: behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you, I will make known my words unto you.
Whom do I have in heaven but You? And with You, I desire nothing on earth.Whom have I in heaven but thee? and there is none upon earth that I desire beside thee.
