Bible Verses about Giving
- Each one must do just as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.
- But who am I and who are my people that we should be able to offer as generously as this? For all things come from You, and from Your hand we have given to You.

And brings him before great people. - A generous person will be prosperous,
And one who gives others plenty of water will himself be given plenty. - For if the willingness is present, it is acceptable according to what a person has, not according to what he does not have.

When it is in your power to do it. - “Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, so that there may be food in My house, and put Me to the test now in this,” says the Lord of armies, “if I do not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you a blessing until it overflows.”
- So when you give to the poor, do not sound a trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, so that they will be praised by people. Truly I say to you, they have their reward in full.
- Give to everyone who asks of you, and whoever takes away what is yours, do not demand it back.
- Delight yourself in the Lord;
And He will give you the desires of your heart. - All day long he is craving,
While the righteous gives and does not hold back. - Jesus said to him, “If you want to be complete, go and sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me.”
- And if I give away all my possessions to charity, and if I surrender my body so that I may glory, but do not have love, it does me no good.
- The wicked borrows and does not pay back,
But the righteous is gracious and gives. - But when you give to the poor, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your charitable giving will be in secret; and your Father who sees what is done in secret will reward you.
- Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those with leprosy, cast out demons. Freely you received, freely give.
- Then he said to them, “Go, eat the festival foods, drink the sweet drinks, and send portions to him who has nothing prepared; for this day is holy to our Lord. Do not be grieved, for the joy of the Lord is your refuge.”
- Open your mouth, judge righteously,
And defend the rights of the poor and needy. - Now I say this: the one who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and the one who sows generously will also reap generously.
- And he would answer and say to them, “The one who has two tunics is to share with the one who has none; and the one who has food is to do likewise.”
