Bible Verses about Money
- Make sure that your character is free from the love of money, being content with what you have; for He Himself has said, “I will never desert you, nor will I ever abandon you,”
- Wealth obtained from nothing dwindles,
But one who gathers by labor increases it. - But those who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap, and many foolish and harmful desires which plunge people into ruin and destruction.
- It is the blessing of the Lord that makes rich,
And He adds no sorrow to it. - Do not weary yourself to gain wealth;
Stop dwelling on it. - One who loves money will not be satisfied with money, nor one who loves abundance with its income. This too is futility.

- How much better it is to get wisdom than gold!
And to get understanding is to be chosen above silver. - But who am I and who are my people that we should be able to offer as generously as this? For all things come from You, and from Your hand we have given to You.
- Instruct those who are rich in this present world not to be conceited or to set their hope on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, who richly supplies us with all things to enjoy.
- His master said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful slave. You were faithful with a few things, I will put you in charge of many things; enter the joy of your master.’

But the Lord sustains the righteous. - For the Lord your God will have blessed you just as He has promised you, and you will lend to many nations, but you will not borrow; and you will rule over many nations, but they will not rule over you.
- A good name is to be more desired than great wealth;
Favor is better than silver and gold. - When you set your eyes on it, it is gone.
For wealth certainly makes itself wings
Like an eagle that flies toward the heavens. - For because of this you also pay taxes, for rulers are servants of God, devoting themselves to this very thing.
- Riches do not benefit on the day of wrath,
But righteousness rescues from death. - A rich person’s wealth is his strong city,
And like a high wall in his own imagination.
