Bible Verses about Heaven

  • For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive, who remain, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord.
  • In My Father’s house are many rooms; if that were not so, I would have told you, because I am going there to prepare a place for you.
  • Set your minds on the things that are above, not on the things that are on earth.
  • For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.
  • Whom do I have in heaven but You?
And with You, I desire nothing on earth.
  • The heavens tell of the glory of God;
And their expanse declares the work of His hands.
Day to day pours forth speech,
And night to night reveals knowledge.
  • There is an appointed time for everything. And there is a time for every matter under heaven.
  • Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys, and where thieves do not break in or steal.
  • The Lord will rescue me from every evil deed, and will bring me safely to His heavenly kingdom; to Him be the glory forever and ever. Amen.
  • Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will not pass away.
  • For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.
  • For we know that if our earthly tent which is our house is torn down, we have a building from God, a house not made by hands, eternal in the heavens.
  • And after He had said these things, He was lifted up while they were watching, and a cloud took Him up, out of their sight.

  • Be exalted above the heavens, God,
And may Your glory be above all the earth.

  • The One who builds His upper chambers in the heavens
And has founded His vaulted dome over the earth,
He who calls for the waters of the sea
And pours them out on the face of the earth,
    The Lord is His name.
  • Beloved, now we are children of God, and it has not appeared as yet what we will be. We know that when He appears, we will be like Him, because we will see Him just as He is. And everyone who has this hope set on Him purifies himself, just as He is pure.
  • Our help is in the name of the Lord,
    Who made heaven and earth.
  • For we have brought nothing into the world, so we cannot take anything out of it, either. If we have food and covering, with these we shall be content.
  • For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
So are My ways higher than your ways
And My thoughts than your thoughts.
  • “Can a person hide himself in hiding places
So that I do not see him?” declares the Lord.
“Do I not fill the heavens and the earth?” declares the Lord.
  • And in Hades he raised his eyes, being in torment, and saw Abraham far away and Lazarus in his arms. And he cried out and said, ‘Father Abraham, have mercy on me and send Lazarus, so that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool off my tongue, for I am in agony in this flame.’
  • As he came naked from his mother’s womb, so he will return as he came. He will take nothing from the fruit of his labor that he can carry in his hand.

And as they were gazing intently into the sky while He was going, then behold, two men in white clothing stood beside them, and they said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into the sky? This Jesus, who has been taken up from you into heaven, will come in the same way as you have watched Him go into heaven.”
