Your walls are continually before Me. - But if anyone does not provide for his own, and especially for those of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.
- Train up a child in the way he should go,
Even when he grows older he will not abandon it. - Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.
- Honor your father and your mother, so that your days may be prolonged on the land which the Lord your God gives you.
- Grandchildren are the crown of the old,
And the glory of sons is their fathers. - A friend loves at all times,
And a brother is born for adversity. - May the Lord our God be with us, as He was with our fathers; may He not leave us nor forsake us.
- A person of too many friends comes to ruin,
But there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother. - But if it is disagreeable in your sight to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves today whom you will serve: whether the gods which your fathers served, which were beyond the Euphrates River, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you are living; but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.
- Beloved, now we are children of God, and it has not appeared as yet what we will be. We know that when He appears, we will be like Him, because we will see Him just as He is. And everyone who has this hope set on Him purifies himself, just as He is pure.
- So if you, despite being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him?
- The father of the righteous will greatly rejoice,
And he who fathers a wise son will be glad in him. - My son, if your heart is wise,
My own heart also will be glad. - A wise son makes a father glad,
But a foolish son is a grief to his mother. - Do not abandon your friend or your father’s friend,
And do not go to your brother’s house on the day of your disaster;
Better is a neighbor who is near than a brother far away. - You shall not commit murder; You shall not commit adultery; You shall not steal; You shall not give false testimony; Honor your father and mother; and You shall love your neighbor as yourself.
