Bible Verses about Serving

  • Therefore, my beloved brothers and sisters, be firm, immovable, always excelling in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.
  • Not lagging behind in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord.
  • If anyone serves Me, he must follow Me; and where I am, there My servant will be also; if anyone serves Me, the Father will honor him.
  • And sitting down, He called the twelve and said to them, “If anyone wants to be first, he shall be last of all and servant of all.”
  • For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many.
  • His master said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful slave. You were faithful with a few things, I will put you in charge of many things; enter the joy of your master.’
  • You shall follow the Lord your God and fear Him; and you shall keep His commandments, listen to His voice, serve Him, and cling to Him.
  • For we are God’s fellow workers; you are God’s field, God’s building.
  • And now, Israel, what does the Lord your God require of you, but to fear the Lord your God, to walk in all His ways and love Him, and to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul, and to keep the Lord’s commandments and His statutes which I am commanding you today for your good?
  • For you were called to freedom, brothers and sisters; only do not turn your freedom into an opportunity for the flesh, but serve one another through love.
  • All Scripture is inspired by God and beneficial for teaching, for rebuke, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the man or woman of God may be fully capable, equipped for every good work.
  • Just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many.
  • The steps of a man are established by the Lord,
And He delights in his way.
  • It is not this way among you, but whoever wants to become prominent among you shall be your servant, and whoever desires to be first among you shall be your slave.
  • For God is not unjust so as to forget your work and the love which you have shown toward His name, by having served and by still serving the saints.
  • So if I, the Lord and the Teacher, washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet.
  • But if it is disagreeable in your sight to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves today whom you will serve: whether the gods which your fathers served, which were beyond the Euphrates River, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you are living; but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.
  • Only be very careful to follow the commandment and the Law which Moses the servant of the Lord commanded you, to love the Lord your God and walk in all His ways, and keep His commandments and cling to Him, and serve Him with all your heart and with all your soul.
  • Only fear the Lord and serve Him in truth with all your heart; for consider what great things He has done for you.
  • No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and wealth.
  • Act as free people, and do not use your freedom as a covering for evil, but use it as bond-servants of God.
  • The Lord redeems the souls of His servants,
And none of those who take refuge in Him will suffer for their guilt.
  • How much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without blemish to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?
  • And do not go on presenting the parts of your body to sin as instruments of unrighteousness; but present yourselves to God as those who are alive from the dead, and your body’s parts as instruments of righteousness for God.
  • Truly, truly I say to you, a slave is not greater than his master, nor is one who is sent greater than the one who sent him.

“And they will be Mine,” says the Lord of armies, “on the day that I prepare My own possession, and I will have compassion for them just as a man has compassion for his own son who serves him.”

Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor those habitually drunk, nor verbal abusers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God.Next verse! With image
