- And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up.
- So they said, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.”
- Now I plead with you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.
- My son, keep your father’s command,
And do not forsake the law of your mother. - If someone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen?
- Behold, how good and how pleasant it is
For brethren to dwell together in unity! - But the mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting
On those who fear Him,
And His righteousness to children’s children,
To such as keep His covenant,
And to those who remember His commandments to do them. - Can a woman forget her nursing child,
And not have compassion on the son of her womb?
Surely they may forget,
Yet I will not forget you.
See, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands;
Your walls are continually before Me. - But if anyone does not provide for his own, and especially for those of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.
- Train up a child in the way he should go,
And when he is old he will not depart from it. - And you, fathers, do not provoke your children to wrath, but bring them up in the training and admonition of the Lord.
- Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long upon the land which the Lord your God is giving you.
- Children’s children are the crown of old men,
And the glory of children is their father. - A friend loves at all times,
And a brother is born for adversity. - May the Lord our God be with us, as He was with our fathers. May He not leave us nor forsake us.
- A man who has friends must himself be friendly,
But there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother. - And if it seems evil to you to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.
- Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is. And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure.
- If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!
- The father of the righteous will greatly rejoice,
And he who begets a wise child will delight in him. - My son, if your heart is wise,
My heart will rejoice—indeed, I myself. - A wise son makes a glad father,
But a foolish son is the grief of his mother. - Do not forsake your own friend or your father’s friend,
Nor go to your brother’s house in the day of your calamity;
Better is a neighbor nearby than a brother far away. - ‘You shall not murder,’ ‘You shall not commit adultery,’ ‘You shall not steal,’ ‘You shall not bear false witness,’ ‘Honor your father and your mother,’ and, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’
Who is this King of glory?
The Lord of hosts,
He is the King of glory. Selah But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind.Next verse!With image
