- Set your minds on the things that are above, not on the things that are on earth.
- So then, be careful how you walk, not as unwise people but as wise, making the most of your time, because the days are evil.
- And He said to him, ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.’
- One who gets wisdom loves his own soul;
One who keeps understanding will find good. - Because in much wisdom there is much grief; and increasing knowledge results in increasing pain.
- A prudent person sees evil and hides himself;
But the naive proceed, and pay the penalty. - Blessed is a person who finds wisdom,
And one who obtains understanding. - As iron sharpens iron,

- Therefore, everyone who hears these words of Mine, and acts on them, will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock.
- Even a fool, when he keeps silent, is considered wise;
When he closes his lips, he is considered prudent. - For through the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think more highly of himself than he ought to think; but to think so as to have sound judgment, as God has allotted to each a measure of faith.
- For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, that is, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, being understood by what has been made, so that they are without excuse.
- For I determined to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ, and Him crucified.
- A fool rejects his father’s discipline,
But he who complies with rebuke is sensible. - And to love Him with all the heart, and with all the understanding, and with all the strength, and to love one’s neighbor as oneself, is much more than all the burnt offerings and sacrifices.
