- Fix your thoughts on things that are above, not on things that are on the earth.
- Therefore, take care to live as intelligent people, and do not be like those who are senseless. Make the most of the present time, for this is a wicked age.
- Jesus said to him, ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.’
- Whoever gains wisdom loves his own soul;
one who cherishes understanding will prosper. - For much wisdom can result in much sorrow,
and those who increase their knowledge also increase their grief. - The prudent man perceives danger and seeks shelter,
while the simple continue forward and pay the penalty. - Blessed is the person who has found wisdom,
the one who has gained understanding. - As iron sharpens iron,

- Ever since the creation of the world the invisible attributes of God’s eternal power and divine nature have been clearly understood and perceived through the things he has made. Therefore, the conduct of these people is inexcusable.
- For I resolved that, while I was with you, I would know nothing except Jesus Christ—and him crucified.
- A fool spurns his father’s correction,
but whoever heeds admonition is prudent. - And ‘to love him with all your heart, and with all your understanding, and with all your strength, and to love your neighbor as yourself,’ is worth more than any burnt offerings and sacrifices.
However, the wisdom that comes from above is first of all pure, then peaceable, gentle, and considerate, full of mercy and good fruits, without any trace of partiality or hypocrisy. O Lord, you are my God.
I will exalt you and praise your name,
for you have accomplished wonderful things,
formulated in ages past, faithful and sure.Next verse!With image
