- Do not love the world
or what is in the world.
If anyone does love the world,
the love of the Father is not in him. - Do not be conformed to the world, but be transformed by the renewal of your minds, so that you will be able to discern the will of God and to know what is good and acceptable and perfect.

And the victory that conquers the world

If the world does not recognize us,
that is because it did not know him. - Who indeed conquers the world
except the one who believes
that Jesus is the Son of God? - Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and undefiled is this: to come to the aid of orphans and widows in their hardships and to keep oneself untarnished by the world.
- Fix your thoughts on things that are above, not on things that are on the earth.
- If the world hates you,
be aware that it hated me
before it hated you. - Ever since the creation of the world the invisible attributes of God’s eternal power and divine nature have been clearly understood and perceived through the things he has made. Therefore, the conduct of these people is inexcusable.
- For God so loved the world
that he gave his only Son,
so that everyone who believes in him
may not perish
but may attain eternal life.
