Bible Verses about Reward

  • Whatever you do, do it wholeheartedly, as if you were doing it for the Lord and not for others, since you know that you will receive from the Lord an inheritance as your reward for you are serving the Lord Christ.
  • For God will repay everyone in accordance with what his deeds deserve.
  • Therefore, my beloved brethren, stand firm and immovable, devoting yourselves completely to the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.
  • Let us never grow weary in doing what is right, for if we do not give up, we will reap our harvest in due time.
  • His master said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant. Since you have been faithful in small matters, I will give you much greater responsibilities. Come and share your master’s joy.’
  • Do not let kindness and fidelity leave you;
    fasten them around your neck
and inscribe them on the tablet of your heart.
Then you will gain favor and a good name
in the sight of God and man.
  • A gift opens doors for the giver
and wins him access to the powerful.
  • Blessed is the man who perseveres when he is tempted, for when he has been proven, he will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.
  • For as it is written,
“Eye has not seen, ear has not heard,
nor has the human heart imagined
what God has prepared for those who love him.”
  • The reward of humility and fear of the Lord
    is wealth, honor, and life.
  • Therefore, whenever you give alms, do not trumpet your generosity, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets in order to win the praise of others. Amen, I say to you, they have already received their reward.
  • Continue in all of the ways that the Lord, your God, has commanded you. Continue in them so that you may live and prosper and that you may long dwell on the land of your inheritance.
  • I press on toward the finishing line to win the heavenly prize to which God has called me in Christ Jesus.
  • Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over, will be poured into your lap. The measure that you use for others will be used to measure you.
  • Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened to you.
  • And if you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners do as much.
  • But without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever comes to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.
  • But if you seek the Lord, your God, and you strive with all your heart and your soul, you will find him there.
  • But many who are first will be last, and the last will be first.
  • The labors of the wicked man produce little profit,
but the one who sows righteousness reaps a sure reward.
  • But when you pray, go into your room, close the door, and pray to your Father in secret. And your Father who sees everything that is done in secret will reward you.
  • Behold, I am coming soon, and I will bring with me my reward to repay everyone as his deeds deserve.
  • Therefore, humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, so that at the proper time he may exalt you.
  • Seek good and not evil,
    so that you may live.
Then the Lord, the God of hosts, will be with you
    as you claim he is.
  • Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will exalt you.

The heart is more deceitful than any other thing,
and it is also perverse.
Who can uncover its secrets?
I, the Lord, search the heart
and probe the mind
to reward all according to their conduct
and as their deeds deserve.

Then I came to realize that all toil and skill in work derive from one person’s envy of another. This also is vanity and a chase after the wind.
