Bible Verses about Eternal Life
- I give them eternal life,
and they will never perish.
No one will ever snatch them from my hand.
My Father who has given them to me
is greater than all,
and no one can snatch them
out of the Father’s hand.
I and the Father are one. - For whoever finds me finds life
and receives favor from the Lord. - And the world with all its enticements
is passing away,
but whoever does the will of God
abides forever. - After you have suffered for a brief period, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and support you.
- And this is the testimony:
God gave us eternal life,
and this life is in his Son. - For our eyes are fixed not on what is seen but rather on that which cannot be seen. What is visible is transitory; what is invisible is eternal.
- For God so loved the world
that he gave his only Son,
so that everyone who believes in him
may not perish
but may attain eternal life. - Our temporary light afflictions are preparing for us an incomparable weight of eternal glory.
- I write these things to you
who believe in the name of the Son of God
so that you may know
that you have eternal life. - Examine me, O God, and know my heart;
test me and understand my thoughts.
See if I follow an evil way,
and guide me on the way to eternity. - And eternal life is this:
to know you,
the only true God,
and the one you have sent,
Jesus Christ. - And I heard a loud voice proclaim from the throne:
“Behold, God’s dwelling is with mankind;
he will dwell with them.
They will be his people,
and he will be their God,
God-with-them.
He will wipe every tear from their eyes,
and there will no longer be death.
Neither will there be any mourning or crying or pain,
for the old order has passed away.” - For the wages of sin is death, but the gift freely given by God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
- Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life;
whoever does not believe in the Son will not see life,
but the wrath of God rests upon him. - Fight the good fight of faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your noble confession of faith in the presence of many witnesses.
- Enter through the narrow gate, for the gate is wide and the road broad that leads to destruction, and those who enter through it are many. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and those who find it are few in number.
- I consider that the sufferings we presently endure are not worth comparing with the glory to be revealed in us.
- But whoever drinks the water that I will give him
will never be thirsty.
The water that I will give him
will become a spring of water within him
welling up to eternal life. - Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.
- The one who sows in his flesh will reap a harvest of corruption, but the one who sows in the Spirit will reap from the Spirit the reward of eternal life.
- “I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “the one who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.”
- They will never again experience hunger or thirst,
nor will the sun or any scorching heat cause them discomfort.
For the Lamb who is at the center of the throne
will be their shepherd.
He will guide them to springs of living water,
and God will wipe away every tear from their eyes. - But for that very reason I was treated mercifully, so that in me Jesus Christ might exhibit his inexhaustible patience, making me an example for those who would come to believe in him for eternal life.
- Therefore, he has the full power to save those who approach God through him, since he lives forever to intercede for them.
- Hence, as sin’s reign resulted in death, so the grace of God also might reign through righteousness resulting in eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
