| Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence? If I ascend to heaven, You are there; If I make my bed in Sheol, behold, You are there. | Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence? If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there. |
| ‘For I know the plans that I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans for prosperity and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.’ | For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. |

| Since you are precious in My sight, Since you are honored and I love you, I will give other people in your place and other nations in exchange for your life. | Since thou wast precious in my sight, thou hast been honourable, and I have loved thee: therefore will I give men for thee, and people for thy life. |
| God, You are my God; I shall be watching for You; My soul thirsts for You, my flesh yearns for You, In a dry and exhausted land where there is no water. | O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is. |
| If the world hates you, you know that it has hated Me before it hated you. | If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. |
| How I did not shrink from declaring to you anything that was beneficial, and teaching you publicly and from house to house. | And how I kept back nothing that was profitable unto you, but have shewed you, and have taught you publicly, and from house to house. |

| I will give thanks to You with uprightness of heart, When I learn Your righteous judgments. | I will praise thee with uprightness of heart, when I shall have learned thy righteous judgments. |
| So that I may come to you in joy by the will of God and relax in your company. | That I may come unto you with joy by the will of God, and may with you be refreshed. |
| Heal me, Lord, and I will be healed; Save me and I will be saved, For You are my praise. | Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved: for thou art my praise. |
| You adulteresses, do you not know that friendship with the world is hostility toward God? Therefore whoever wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God. | Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God. |
| I am the vine, you are the branches; the one who remains in Me, and I in him bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing. | I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. |
