Jesus answered, “Very truly, I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God without being born of water and Spirit.”Jesus said, “Amen, amen, I say to you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit.”
In this is love, not that we loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the atoning sacrifice for our sins.This is what love is: not that we have loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as expiation for our sins.
But those who do what is true come to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that their deeds have been done in God.However, whoever lives by the truth comes to the light so that it may be clearly seen that his deeds have been done in God.
If we confess our sins, he who is faithful and just will forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.However, if we confess our sins, he who is faithful and just will forgive our sins and cleanse us from all wrongdoing.
We know love by this, that he laid down his life for us—and we ought to lay down our lives for one another.This is how we know what love is: he laid down his life for us, and we in turn must be prepared to lay down our lives for our brethren.
This is the message we have heard from him and proclaim to you, that God is light and in him there is no darkness at all.This is the message that we have heard from him and that we declare to you: God is light, and there is no darkness at all in him.

How does God's love abide in anyone who has the world's goods and sees a brother or sister in need and yet refuses help?If anyone is rich in worldly possessions and sees a brother in need but refuses to open his heart, how can the love of God abide in him?
So we have known and believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and those who abide in love abide in God, and God abides in them.We have come to know and to believe in the love that God has for us. God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God in him.
And the Word became flesh and lived among us, and we have seen his glory, the glory as of a father's only son, full of grace and truth.And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us. And we saw his glory, the glory as of the Father’s only Son, full of grace and truth.
