Pure and genuine religion in the sight of God the Father means caring for orphans and widows in their distress and refusing to let the world corrupt you. Keep putting into practice all you learned and received from me—everything you heard from me and saw me doing. Then the God of peace will be with you. Understand, therefore, that the Lord your God is indeed God. He is the faithful God who keeps his covenant for a thousand generations and lavishes his unfailing love on those who love him and obey his commands. Serve only the Lord your God and fear him alone. Obey his commands, listen to his voice, and cling to him. For I command you this day to love the Lord your God and to keep his commands, decrees, and regulations by walking in his ways. It was by faith that even Sarah was able to have a child, though she was barren and was too old. She believed that God would keep his promise.

By faith he received power of procreation, even though he was too old—and Sarah herself was barren—because he considered him faithful who had promised.
