| Don’t team up with those who are unbelievers. How can righteousness be a partner with wickedness? How can light live with darkness? | Do not be mismatched with unbelievers; for what do righteousness and lawlessness share together, or what does light have in common with darkness? |
| Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. | Commit everything you do to the Lord. Trust him, and he will help you. | I pray that your hearts will be flooded with light so that you can understand the confident hope he has given to those he called—his holy people who are his rich and glorious inheritance. | I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you will know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints. |

From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and to whom they entrusted much, of him they will ask all the more. |
| Whatever is good and perfect is a gift coming down to us from God our Father, who created all the lights in the heavens. He never changes or casts a shifting shadow. | Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shifting shadow. |
