| If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. | If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. |
| And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever. | And the world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God abides forever. |

| And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent. | And this is eternal life, that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent. |
| Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward. | Watch yourselves, so that you may not lose what we have worked for, but may win a full reward. |

| No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us. | No one has ever seen God; if we love one another, God abides in us and his love is perfected in us. |
| And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him. | And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of him. |
