- Commit thy works unto the Lord,
and thy thoughts shall be established. - For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it?
- For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
- A man's heart deviseth his way:
but the Lord directeth his steps. - Grant thee according to thine own heart,
and fulfil all thy counsel. - Without counsel purposes are disappointed:
but in the multitude of counsellors they are established. - There are many devices in a man's heart;
nevertheless the counsel of the Lord, that shall stand. - Cause me to hear thy lovingkindness in the morning;
for in thee do I trust:
cause me to know the way wherein I should walk;
for I lift up my soul unto thee. - To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.
- For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways my ways,
saith the Lord. - Labour not to be rich:
cease from thine own wisdom. - So teach us to number our days,
that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom. - For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways,
and my thoughts than your thoughts. - This also cometh forth from the Lord of hosts,
which is wonderful in counsel,
and excellent in working. - But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.
- Envy thou not the oppressor,
and choose none of his ways.
For the froward is abomination to the Lord:
but his secret is with the righteous. - Surely the Lord God will do nothing,
but he revealeth his secret
unto his servants the prophets.
Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame. For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?Next verse!With image
