Bible Verses about Planning

  • Commit your work to the Lord,
    and your plans will be established.
  • For which of you, desiring to build a tower, does not first sit down and count the cost, whether he has enough to complete it?
  • For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.
  • The heart of man plans his way,
    but the Lord establishes his steps.
  • May he grant you your heart's desire
    and fulfill all your plans!
  • Without counsel plans fail,
    but with many advisers they succeed.
  • Many are the plans in the mind of a man,
    but it is the purpose of the Lord that will stand.
  • Let me hear in the morning of your steadfast love,
    for in you I trust.
    Make me know the way I should go,
    for to you I lift up my soul.
  • For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven.
  • For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
    neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord.
  • Do not toil to acquire wealth;
    be discerning enough to desist.
  • So teach us to number our days
    that we may get a heart of wisdom.
  • For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
    so are my ways higher than your ways
    and my thoughts than your thoughts.
  • This also comes from the Lord of hosts;
    he is wonderful in counsel
    and excellent in wisdom.
  • These things God has revealed to us through the Spirit. For the Spirit searches everything, even the depths of God.
  • For the Lord God does nothing
    without revealing his secret
    to his servants the prophets.
  • Do not envy a man of violence
    and do not choose any of his ways,
    for the devious person is an abomination to the Lord,
    but the upright are in his confidence.
