- Whoever pursues righteousness and kindness
will find life, righteousness, and honor. - He will render to each one according to his works.
- But as for you, O man of God, flee these things. Pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, steadfastness, gentleness.
- For the Lord loves justice;
he will not forsake his saints.
They are preserved forever,
but the children of the wicked shall be cut off. - Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap.
- Every way of a man is right in his own eyes,
but the Lord weighs the heart. - But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.
- For the righteous will never be moved;
he will be remembered forever. - The eyes of the Lord are toward the righteous
and his ears toward their cry. - To do righteousness and justice
is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice. - But even if you should suffer for righteousness' sake, you will be blessed. Have no fear of them, nor be troubled.
- And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.
- See that no one repays anyone evil for evil, but always seek to do good to one another and to everyone.
- For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
- Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.
- And a harvest of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.
- For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people, training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age.
- Commit your way to the Lord;
trust in him, and he will act.
He will bring forth your righteousness as the light,
and your justice as the noonday. - Blessed is the man
who walks not in the counsel of the wicked,
nor stands in the way of sinners,
nor sits in the seat of scoffers. - Treasures gained by wickedness do not profit,
but righteousness delivers from death. - Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness,
for they shall be satisfied. - The wicked earns deceptive wages,
but one who sows righteousness gets a sure reward. - And if you do good to those who do good to you, what benefit is that to you? For even sinners do the same.
- It is a snare to say rashly, “It is holy,”
and to reflect only after making vows. - With my whole heart I seek you;
let me not wander from your commandments!
No weapon that is fashioned against you shall succeed,
and you shall refute every tongue that rises against you in judgment.
This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord
and their vindication from me, declares the Lord.The Lord will rescue me from every evil deed and bring me safely into his heavenly kingdom. To him be the glory forever and ever. Amen.
