- Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful.
- Let all that you do be done in love.
- Let me hear in the morning of your steadfast love,
for in you I trust.
Make me know the way I should go,
for to you I lift up my soul. - And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony.
- Let not steadfast love and faithfulness forsake you;
bind them around your neck;
write them on the tablet of your heart.
So you will find favor and good success
in the sight of God and man. - So we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him.
- So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love.
- We love because he first loved us.
- With all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love.
- Above all, keep loving one another earnestly, since love covers a multitude of sins.
- Let love be genuine. Abhor what is evil; hold fast to what is good.
- That according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love.
- This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.
- And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.
- May the Lord direct your hearts to the love of God and to the steadfastness of Christ.
- Can a woman forget her nursing child,
that she should have no compassion on the son of her womb?
Even these may forget,
yet I will not forget you.
Behold, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands;
your walls are continually before me. - Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honor.
- Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her, that he might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word.
- No one has ever seen God; if we love one another, God abides in us and his love is perfected in us.
- Set me as a seal upon your heart,
as a seal upon your arm,
for love is strong as death,
jealousy is fierce as the grave.
Its flashes are flashes of fire,
the very flame of the Lord. - If anyone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen cannot love God whom he has not seen.
- Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends.
- There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love.
- Because you are precious in my eyes,
and honored, and I love you,
I give men in return for you,
peoples in exchange for your life. - But, as it is written,
“What no eye has seen, nor ear heard,
nor the heart of man imagined,
what God has prepared for those who love him”
Owe no one anything, except to love each other, for the one who loves another has fulfilled the law.Who is this King of glory?
The Lord of hosts,
he is the King of glory! Selah
