Psalm 91 (3/9)

I lift up my eyes to the mountains; from where will I receive help? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.I lift up my eyes to the hills— from where will my help come? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.
He will not permit your foot to stumble; he who guards you will not fall asleep. He will not let your foot be moved; he who keeps you will not slumber.
The Lord will protect you against all evil; he will watch over your life. The Lord will watch over your coming and your going both now and forevermore. The Lord will keep you from all evil; he will keep your life. The Lord will keep your going out and your coming in from this time on and forevermore.
Our help is in the name of the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth. Our help is in the name of the Lord, who made heaven and earth.
If the Lord does not build the house, those who construct it labor in vain. If the Lord does not guard the city, those who keep watch over it do so in vain.Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labor in vain. Unless the Lord guards the city, the guard keeps watch in vain.
Blessed are all those who fear the Lord and walk in his ways.Happy is everyone who fears the Lord, who walks in his ways.
Out of the depths I cry to you, O Lord; O Lord, hear my voice. Let your ears be attentive to my cries of supplication.Out of the depths I cry to you, O Lord. Lord, hear my voice! Let your ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications!
I wait for the Lord in anxious expectation; I place my hope in his word.I wait for the Lord, my soul waits, and in his word I hope.
How wonderful and delightful it is for brothers to live together in unity. How very good and pleasant it is when kindred live together in unity!
The Lord will fulfill his plan for me. Your kindness, O Lord, endures forever; do not forsake the work of your hands. The Lord will fulfill his purpose for me; your steadfast love, O Lord, endures forever. Do not forsake the work of your hands.
O Lord, you have examined me and you know me. You know when I sit and when I stand; you perceive my thoughts from a distance.O Lord, you have searched me and known me. You know when I sit down and when I rise up; you discern my thoughts from far away.
A word is not even on my tongue and you, O Lord, are completely aware of it.Even before a word is on my tongue, O Lord, you know it completely.
Where can I go to hide from your spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? If I ascend to the heavens, you are there; if I take my rest in the netherworld, you are also there.Where can I go from your spirit? Or where can I flee from your presence? If I ascend to heaven, you are there; if I make my bed in Sheol, you are there.
You created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am wonderfully made; awesome are your works, as I know very well. For it was you who formed my inward parts; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; that I know very well.
Examine me, O God, and know my heart; test me and understand my thoughts. See if I follow an evil way, and guide me on the way to eternity.Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my thoughts. See if there is any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.
O Lord, hear my prayer, incline your ear to my supplications. In your faithfulness respond to me with your righteousness.Hear my prayer, O Lord; give ear to my supplications in your faithfulness; answer me in your righteousness.
I stretch out my hands to you; my soul thirsts for you like a parched land. SelahI stretch out my hands to you; my soul thirsts for you like a parched land. Selah
At dawn let me experience your kindness, for in you I place my trust. Show me the path I must walk, for to you I lift up my soul.Let me hear of your steadfast love in the morning, for in you I put my trust. Teach me the way I should go, for to you I lift up my soul.
Teach me to do your will, for you are my God. Let your gracious Spirit lead me along a level path.Teach me to do your will, for you are my God. Let your good spirit lead me on a level path.
I will extol you, my God and King; I will bless your name forever and ever.I will extol you, my God and King, and bless your name forever and ever.
Great is the Lord and worthy of the highest praise; no one can even begin to comprehend his greatness.Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised; his greatness is unsearchable.
The Lord is righteous in all his ways and merciful in everything he does. The Lord is just in all his ways, and kind in all his doings.
The Lord is near to all who call out to him, to all who call out to him sincerely. The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.
And opens the eyes of those who cannot see. The Lord lifts up those who are bowed down; the Lord loves the righteous. The Lord opens the eyes of the blind. The Lord lifts up those who are bowed down; the Lord loves the righteous.
The Lord watches over the stranger and sustains the fatherless and the widow, but he blocks the way of the wicked. The Lord watches over the strangers; he upholds the orphan and the widow, but the way of the wicked he brings to ruin.

He heals the brokenhearted and bandages their wounds. He heals the brokenhearted, and binds up their wounds.

In love there is no fear;
indeed, perfect love casts out fear,
because fear has to do with punishment,
and whoever fears
has not yet achieved perfection in love.
