Jesus took the five loaves and two fish, looked up toward heaven, and blessed them. Then, breaking the loaves into pieces, he kept giving the bread and fish to the disciples so they could distribute it to the people. They all ate as much as they wanted, and afterward, the disciples picked up twelve baskets of leftovers! Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger by the way you treat them. Rather, bring them up with the discipline and instruction that comes from the Lord. Don’t store up treasures here on earth, where moths eat them and rust destroys them, and where thieves break in and steal. Store your treasures in heaven, where moths and rust cannot destroy, and thieves do not break in and steal. So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up. Galatians 6:9	So let us not grow weary in doing what is right, for we will reap at harvest time, if we do not give up. righteousness reward patience
If you refuse to take up your cross and follow me, you are not worthy of being mine. Matthew 10:38	And whoever does not take up the cross and follow me is not worthy of me. suffering Jesus following
Worry weighs a person down; an encouraging word cheers a person up. Proverbs 12:25	Anxiety weighs down the human heart, but a good word cheers it up. speaking worrying heart
A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a broken spirit saps a person’s strength. Proverbs 17:22	A cheerful heart is a good medicine, but a downcast spirit dries up the bones. healing heart sickness
Your unfailing love is better than life itself; how I praise you! I will praise you as long as I live, lifting up my hands to you in prayer. Psalm 63:3-4	Because your steadfast love is better than life, my lips will praise you. So I will bless you as long as I live; I will lift up my hands and call on your name. love life worship
How great is the goodness you have stored up for those who fear you. You lavish it on those who come to you for protection, blessing them before the watching world. Psalm 31:19	O how abundant is your goodness that you have laid up for those who fear you, and accomplished for those who take refuge in you, in the sight of everyone! trust fear blessing
The time is coming when everything that is covered up will be revealed, and all that is secret will be made known to all. Luke 12:2	Nothing is covered up that will not be uncovered, and nothing secret that will not become known. truth honesty
He grants a treasure of common sense to the honest. He is a shield to those who walk with integrity. Proverbs 2:7	He stores up sound wisdom for the upright; he is a shield to those who walk blamelessly. righteousness blessing protection
I saw the dead, both great and small, standing before God’s throne. And the books were opened, including the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to what they had done, as recorded in the books. The sea gave up its dead, and death and the grave gave up their dead. And all were judged according to their deeds. Then the Lord said to Moses, “Come up to me on the mountain. Instead, we will speak the truth in love, growing in every way more and more like Christ, who is the head of his body, the church. Ephesians 4:15	But speaking the truth in love, we must grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ. love truth Jesus
Yes, speak up for the poor and helpless, and see that they get justice. Proverbs 31:9	Speak out, judge righteously, defend the rights of the poor and needy. righteousness speaking giving

But you, dear friends, must build each other up in your most holy faith, pray in the power of the Holy Spirit, and await the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ, who will bring you eternal life. In this way, you will keep yourselves safe in God’s love.

But you, beloved, build yourselves up on your most holy faith; pray in the Holy Spirit; keep yourselves in the love of God; look forward to the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ that leads to eternal life.
