| Therefore you have no excuse, O man, every one of you who judges. | He will render to each one according to his works. | Who will render to every man according to his deeds. |
| For all who have sinned without the law will also perish without the law, and all who have sinned under the law will be judged by the law. | For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law. |
| For by works of the law no human being will be justified in his sight, since through the law comes knowledge of sin. | Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin. |
| But now the righteousness of God has been manifested apart from the law, although the Law and the Prophets bear witness to it— the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all who believe. | Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope. | And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; And patience, experience; and experience, hope. |
| And hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us. | And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us. |
