Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life; the one who believes in Me will live, even if he dies, and everyone who lives and believes in Me will never die. Do you believe this?”Jesus told her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Anyone who believes in me will live, even after dying. Everyone who lives in me and believes in me will never ever die. Do you believe this, Martha?”
I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith; in the future there is reserved for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day; and not only to me, but also to all who have loved His appearing.I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, and I have remained faithful. And now the prize awaits me—the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give me on the day of his return. And the prize is not just for me but for all who eagerly look forward to his appearing.
And He summoned the crowd together with His disciples, and said to them, “If anyone wants to come after Me, he must deny himself, take up his cross, and follow Me.”Then, calling the crowd to join his disciples, he said, “If any of you wants to be my follower, you must give up your own way, take up your cross, and follow me.”
And I did not recognize Him, but He who sent me to baptize in water said to me, ‘He upon whom you see the Spirit descending and remaining upon Him, this is the One who baptizes in the Holy Spirit.’I didn’t know he was the one, but when God sent me to baptize with water, he told me, ‘The one on whom you see the Spirit descend and rest is the one who will baptize with the Holy Spirit.’
So Jesus said to them again, “Peace be to you; just as the Father has sent Me, I also send you.”Again he said, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, so I am sending you.”
I have set the Lord continually before me; Because He is at my right hand, I will not be shaken.I know the Lord is always with me. I will not be shaken, for he is right beside me.
I have chosen the faithful way; I have placed Your judgments before me.I have chosen to be faithful; I have determined to live by your regulations.
“Return to Me,” declares the Lord of armies, “that I may return to you,” says the Lord of armies.Return to me, and I will return to you, says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies.
To You, God of my fathers, I give thanks and praise, For You have given me wisdom and power; Even now You have made known to me what we requested of You, For You have made known to us the king’s matter.I thank and praise you, God of my ancestors, for you have given me wisdom and strength. You have told me what we asked of you and revealed to us what the king demanded.
When my anxious thoughts multiply within me, Your comfort delights my soul.When doubts filled my mind, your comfort gave me renewed hope and cheer.
Establish my footsteps in Your word, And do not let any wrongdoing have power over me.Guide my steps by your word, so I will not be overcome by evil.
But far be it from me to boast, except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.As for me, may I never boast about anything except the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ. Because of that cross, my interest in this world has been crucified, and the world’s interest in me has also died.
You will make known to me the way of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; In Your right hand there are pleasures forever.You will show me the way of life, granting me the joy of your presence and the pleasures of living with you forever.
As for the things you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.Keep putting into practice all you learned and received from me—everything you heard from me and saw me doing. Then the God of peace will be with you.
So that we confidently say, “The Lord is my helper, I will not be afraid. What will man do to me?”So we can say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper, so I will have no fear. What can mere people do to me?”
“Yet even now,” declares the Lord, “Return to Me with all your heart, And with fasting, weeping, and mourning.”That is why the Lord says, “Turn to me now, while there is time. Give me your hearts. Come with fasting, weeping, and mourning.”
You shall not make other gods besides Me; gods of silver or gods of gold, you shall not make for yourselves.Remember, you must not make any idols of silver or gold to rival me.
In God, whose word I praise, In God I have put my trust; I shall not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?I praise God for what he has promised. I trust in God, so why should I be afraid? What can mere mortals do to me?
If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; from now on you know Him, and have seen Him.If you had really known me, you would know who my Father is. From now on, you do know him and have seen him!
I am the door; if anyone enters through Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture.Yes, I am the gate. Those who come in through me will be saved. They will come and go freely and will find good pastures.
Therefore Jesus said, “For a little while longer I am going to be with you, and then I am going to Him who sent Me.”But Jesus told them, “I will be with you only a little longer. Then I will return to the one who sent me.”
Bless the Lord, my soul, And all that is within me, bless His holy name.Let all that I am praise the Lord; with my whole heart, I will praise his holy name.
And He has said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness.” Most gladly, therefore, I will rather boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me.Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me.
If you remain in Me, and My words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.But if you remain in me and my words remain in you, you may ask for anything you want, and it will be granted!
Call to Me and I will answer you, and I will tell you great and mighty things, which you do not know.Ask me and I will tell you remarkable secrets you do not know about things to come.
