He saved us, not because of any works of righteousness that we had done, but according to his mercy, through the water of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit.Not because of any righteous deeds on our part but because of his mercy, he saved us through the bath of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit.
For Christ is the end of the law so that there may be righteousness for everyone who believes.For Christ is the fulfillment of the Law for the justification of all who believe.
Who saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works but according to his own purpose and grace. This grace was given to us in Christ Jesus before the ages began.God saved us and called us to a life of holiness, not because of our works but according to his own purpose and the grace that has been bestowed upon us in Christ Jesus from all eternity.

For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.He made him who did not know sin to be sin for our sake, so that through him we might become the righteousness of God.
