| Indeed, while following the way of Your judgments, Lord, We have waited for You eagerly; Your name, and remembering You, is the desire of our souls. | Lord, we show our trust in you by obeying your laws; our heart’s desire is to glorify your name. |
| And Jesus said to him, “Go; your faith has made you well.” And immediately he regained his sight and began following Him on the road. | And Jesus said to him, “Go, for your faith has healed you.” Instantly the man could see, and he followed Jesus down the road. |
| Let Your favor, Lord, be upon us, Just as we have waited for You. | Let your unfailing love surround us, Lord, for our hope is in you alone. |
| But as for you, when you fast, anoint your head and wash your face, so that your fasting will not be noticed by people but by your Father who is in secret; and your Father who sees what is done in secret will reward you. | But when you fast, comb your hair and wash your face. Then no one will notice that you are fasting, except your Father, who knows what you do in private. And your Father, who sees everything, will reward you. |
| And you shall serve the Lord your God, and He will bless your bread and your water; and I will remove sickness from your midst. | You must serve only the Lord your God. If you do, I will bless you with food and water, and I will protect you from illness. |
| Incline my heart to Your testimonies, And not to dishonest gain. | Give me an eagerness for your laws rather than a love for money! |
| Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. | Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me. Your rod and your staff protect and comfort me. |
| But I have trusted in Your faithfulness; My heart shall rejoice in Your salvation. I will sing to the Lord, Because He has looked after me. | But I trust in your unfailing love. I will rejoice because you have rescued me. I will sing to the Lord because he is good to me. |
| We have sinned, we have done wrong, and acted wickedly and rebelled, even turning aside from Your commandments and ordinances. | But we have sinned and done wrong. We have rebelled against you and scorned your commands and regulations. |
| May He grant you your heart’s desire And fulfill your whole plan! | May he grant your heart’s desires and make all your plans succeed. |
| But as for me, I will sing of Your strength; Yes, I will joyfully sing of Your faithfulness in the morning, For You have been my refuge And a place of refuge on the day of my distress. | But as for me, I will sing about your power. Each morning I will sing with joy about your unfailing love. For you have been my refuge, a place of safety when I am in distress. |
| Trust in the Lord with all your heart And do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He will make your paths straight. | Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take. |
| Because Your favor is better than life, My lips will praise You. So I will bless You as long as I live; I will lift up my hands in Your name. | Your unfailing love is better than life itself; how I praise you! I will praise you as long as I live, lifting up my hands to you in prayer. |
| I have chosen the faithful way; I have placed Your judgments before me. | I have chosen to be faithful; I have determined to live by your regulations. |
| Lord, You are my God; I will exalt You, I will give thanks to Your name; For You have worked wonders, Plans formed long ago, with perfect faithfulness. | O Lord, I will honor and praise your name, for you are my God. You do such wonderful things! You planned them long ago, and now you have accomplished them. |
| Know that wisdom is the same for your soul; If you find it, then there will be a future, And your hope will not be cut off. | In the same way, wisdom is sweet to your soul. If you find it, you will have a bright future, and your hopes will not be cut short. |
| I have treasured Your word in my heart, So that I may not sin against You. | I have hidden your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you. |
| Return and say to Hezekiah the leader of My people, ‘This is what the Lord, the God of your father David says: “I have heard your prayer, I have seen your tears; behold, I am going to heal you. On the third day you shall go up to the house of the Lord.”’ | Go back to Hezekiah, the leader of my people. Tell him, ‘This is what the Lord, the God of your ancestor David, says: I have heard your prayer and seen your tears. I will heal you, and three days from now you will get out of bed and go to the Temple of the Lord.’ |
| When my anxious thoughts multiply within me, Your comfort delights my soul. | When doubts filled my mind, your comfort gave me renewed hope and cheer. |
| I will never forget Your precepts, For by them You have revived me. | I will never forget your commandments, for by them you give me life. |
| Do not turn to the right or to the left; Turn your foot from evil. | Don’t get sidetracked; keep your feet from following evil. |
| I have rejoiced in the way of Your testimonies, As much as in all riches. | I have rejoiced in your laws as much as in riches. |
| Remember also your Creator in the days of your youth, before the evil days come and the years approach when you will say, “I have no pleasure in them”. | Don’t let the excitement of youth cause you to forget your Creator. Honor him in your youth before you grow old and say, “Life is not pleasant anymore.” |
| Those who love Your Law have great peace, And nothing causes them to stumble. | Those who love your instructions have great peace and do not stumble. |
| Watch over your heart with all diligence, For from it flow the springs of life. | Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life. |
