Your faithfulness reaches to the clouds. - Commit your actions to the Lord,
and your plans will succeed. - Lord, don’t hold back your tender mercies from me.
Let your unfailing love and faithfulness always protect me. - My son, obey your father’s commands,
and don’t neglect your mother’s instruction. - But when you pray, go away by yourself, shut the door behind you, and pray to your Father in private. Then your Father, who sees everything, will reward you.

And you must always obey the Lord’s commands and decrees that I am giving you today for your own good.

all your just regulations will stand forever. - Listen, O Israel! The Lord is our God, the Lord alone. And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your strength.

for you are my God.

Answer me because you are faithful and righteous. - Commit everything you do to the Lord.
Trust him, and he will help you.
He will make your innocence radiate like the dawn,
and the justice of your cause will shine like the noonday sun. - The Lord keeps you from all harm
and watches over your life.
The Lord keeps watch over you as you come and go,
both now and forever. - So refuse to worry, and keep your body healthy. But remember that youth, with a whole life before you, is meaningless.
- Help us, O God of our salvation!
Help us for the glory of your name.
Save us and forgive our sins
for the honor of your name. - I will walk in freedom,
for I have devoted myself to your commandments. - Never abandon a friend—
either yours or your father’s.
When disaster strikes, you won’t have to ask your brother for assistance.
It’s better to go to a neighbor than to a brother who lives far away. - But when you give to someone in need, don’t let your left hand know what your right hand is doing. Give your gifts in private, and your Father, who sees everything, will reward you.

Then you will have healing for your body
and strength for your bones. - You have given me your shield of victory.
Your right hand supports me;
your help has made me great.
You have made a wide path for my feet
to keep them from slipping. - I cried out, “I am slipping!”
but your unfailing love, O Lord, supported me. - Do not nurse hatred in your heart for any of your relatives. Confront people directly so you will not be held guilty for their sin. Do not seek revenge or bear a grudge against a fellow Israelite, but love your neighbor as yourself. I am the Lord.
- You must not murder. You must not commit adultery. You must not steal. You must not testify falsely. Honor your father and mother. Love your neighbor as yourself.
- Your word is a lamp to guide my feet
and a light for my path. - You are my refuge and my shield;
your word is my source of hope.
