- Make me to know your ways, O Lord;
teach me your paths. - Let your face shine upon your servant;
save me in your steadfast love. - Honor your father and your mother, so that your days may be long in the land that the Lord your God is giving you.
- Go, eat your bread with enjoyment, and drink your wine with a merry heart; for God has long ago approved what you do.
- He answered, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your strength, and with all your mind; and your neighbor as yourself.”
- Teach me your way, O Lord,
that I may walk in your truth;
give me an undivided heart to revere your name. - He said to him, ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.’
- You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength.
- Keep your tongue from evil,
and your lips from speaking deceit. - Not to us, O Lord, not to us, but to your name give glory,
for the sake of your steadfast love and your faithfulness. - Deep calls to deep
at the thunder of your cataracts;
all your waves and your billows
have gone over me. - I delight to do your will, O my God;
your law is within my heart. - Observe the sabbath day and keep it holy, as the Lord your God commanded you. Six days you shall labor and do all your work. But the seventh day is a sabbath to the Lord your God; you shall not do any work—you, or your son or your daughter, or your male or female slave, or your ox or your donkey, or any of your livestock, or the resident alien in your towns, so that your male and female slave may rest as well as you.
- Keep straight the path of your feet,
and all your ways will be sure. - Deliverance belongs to the Lord;
may your blessing be on your people! Selah - My mouth is filled with your praise,
and with your glory all day long. - For your steadfast love is as high as the heavens;
your faithfulness extends to the clouds. - Commit your work to the Lord,
and your plans will be established. - Do not, O Lord, withhold
your mercy from me;
let your steadfast love and your faithfulness
keep me safe forever. - My child, keep your father's commandment,
and do not forsake your mother's teaching. - But whenever you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you.
- From there you will seek the Lord your God, and you will find him if you search after him with all your heart and soul.
- For I, the Lord your God,
hold your right hand;
it is I who say to you, “Do not fear,
I will help you.” - So now, O Israel, what does the Lord your God require of you? Only to fear the Lord your God, to walk in all his ways, to love him, to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul, and to keep the commandments of the Lord your God and his decrees that I am commanding you today, for your own well-being.
- Remember the sabbath day, and keep it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work. But the seventh day is a sabbath to the Lord your God; you shall not do any work—you, your son or your daughter, your male or female slave, your livestock, or the alien resident in your towns. For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, but rested the seventh day; therefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day and consecrated it.
The sum of your word is truth;
and every one of your righteous ordinances endures forever.But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid; for see—I am bringing you good news of great joy for all the people.” Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility regard others as better than yourselves.Next verse!With image
