For we brought nothing into the world, and we certainly can’t carry anything out. But having food and clothing, we will be content with that. For we have brought nothing into the world, so we cannot take anything out of it, either. If we have food and covering, with these we shall be content.
We love him, because he first loved us.We love, because He first loved us.
What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? May it never be!What then? Are we to sin because we are not under the Law but under grace? Far from it!
Rejoice in the Lord always! Again I will say, “Rejoice!”Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice!
No one has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God remains in us, and his love has been perfected in us.No one has ever seen God; if we love one another, God remains in us, and His love is perfected in us.
Beloved, if our hearts don’t condemn us, we have boldness toward God; so whatever we ask, we receive from him, because we keep his commandments and do the things that are pleasing in his sight.Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence before God; and whatever we ask, we receive from Him, because we keep His commandments and do the things that are pleasing in His sight.
Beloved, now we are children of God. It is not yet revealed what we will be; but we know that when he is revealed, we will be like him, for we will see him just as he is. Everyone who has this hope set on him purifies himself, even as he is pure.Beloved, now we are children of God, and it has not appeared as yet what we will be. We know that when He appears, we will be like Him, because we will see Him just as He is. And everyone who has this hope set on Him purifies himself, just as He is pure.
For we walk by faith, not by sight. For we walk by faith, not by sight.
By this we know that we remain in him and he in us, because he has given us of his Spirit.By this we know that we remain in Him and He in us, because He has given to us of His Spirit.
For if while we were enemies, we were reconciled to God through the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we will be saved by his life. For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.
Therefore put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Therefore, take up the full armor of God, so that you will be able to resist on the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm.
For we have become partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence firm to the end.For we have become partakers of Christ if we keep the beginning of our commitment firm until the end.
Let’s not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season if we don’t give up.Let’s not become discouraged in doing good, for in due time we will reap, if we do not become weary.
This is the boldness which we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us.This is the confidence which we have before Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.
Turn us again, Yahweh God of Armies. Cause your face to shine, and we will be saved.Lord God of armies, restore us; Make Your face shine upon us, and we will be saved.
‘For in him we live, move, and have our being.’ As some of your own poets have said, ‘For we are also his offspring.’For in Him we live and move and exist, as even some of your own poets have said, ‘For we also are His descendants.’
Now, little children, remain in him, that when he appears, we may have boldness and not be ashamed before him at his coming. Now, little children, remain in Him, so that when He appears, we may have confidence and not draw back from Him in shame at His coming.
But now, Yahweh, you are our Father. We are the clay and you our potter. We all are the work of your hand. But now, Lord, You are our Father; We are the clay, and You our potter, And all of us are the work of Your hand.
Then Job arose, and tore his robe, and shaved his head, and fell down on the ground, and worshiped. He said, “Naked I came out of my mother’s womb, and naked will I return there. Yahweh gave, and Yahweh has taken away. Blessed be Yahweh’s name.”Then Job got up, tore his robe, and shaved his head; then he fell to the ground and worshiped. He said, “Naked I came from my mother’s womb, And naked I shall return there. The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away. Blessed be the name of the Lord.”
Forgive us our debts, as we also forgive our debtors. And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.
We know that the Son of God has come and has given us an understanding, that we know him who is true; and we are in him who is true, in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life. And we know that the Son of God has come, and has given us understanding so that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life.
Moreover when you fast, don’t be like the hypocrites, with sad faces. For they disfigure their faces that they may be seen by men to be fasting. Most certainly I tell you, they have received their reward. Now whenever you fast, do not make a gloomy face as the hypocrites do, for they distort their faces so that they will be noticed by people when they are fasting. Truly I say to you, they have their reward in full.
Therefore let’s also, seeing we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, lay aside every weight and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let’s run with perseverance the race that is set before us.Therefore, since we also have such a great cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let’s rid ourselves of every obstacle and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let’s run with endurance the race that is set before us.
They stripped him and put a scarlet robe on him. They braided a crown of thorns and put it on his head, and a reed in his right hand; and they kneeled down before him and mocked him, saying, “Hail, King of the Jews!”And they stripped Him and put a red cloak on Him. And after twisting together a crown of thorns, they put it on His head, and put a reed in His right hand; and they knelt down before Him and mocked Him, saying, “Hail, King of the Jews!”

Therefore, when you do merciful deeds, don’t sound a trumpet before yourself, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may get glory from men. Most certainly I tell you, they have received their reward. So when you give to the poor, do not sound a trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, so that they will be praised by people. Truly I say to you, they have their reward in full.
