A good person produces good things from the treasury of a good heart, and an evil person produces evil things from the treasury of an evil heart. What you say flows from what is in your heart. The good person out of the good treasure of the heart produces good, and the evil person out of evil treasure produces evil; for it is out of the abundance of the heart that the mouth speaks.
And this is what God has testified: He has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.And this is the testimony: God gave us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.
Then you will understand what is right, just, and fair, and you will find the right way to go.Then you will understand righteousness and justice and equity, every good path.
What joy for the nation whose God is the Lord, whose people he has chosen as his inheritance.Happy is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people whom he has chosen as his heritage.
Unfailing love, O Lord, is yours. Surely you repay all people according to what they have done. And steadfast love belongs to you, O Lord. For you repay to all according to their work.

The Lord is more pleased when we do what is right and just than when we offer him sacrifices. To do righteousness and justice is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice.
What are mere mortals that you should think about them, human beings that you should care for them? What are human beings that you are mindful of them, mortals that you care for them?
The father of godly children has cause for joy. What a pleasure to have children who are wise. The father of the righteous will greatly rejoice; he who begets a wise son will be glad in him.
O Lord, I have come to you for protection; don’t let me be disgraced. Save me, for you do what is right. In you, O Lord, I seek refuge; do not let me ever be put to shame; in your righteousness deliver me.
What shall we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can ever be against us?What then are we to say about these things? If God is for us, who is against us?

But don’t just listen to God’s word. You must do what it says. Otherwise, you are only fooling yourselves. But be doers of the word, and not merely hearers who deceive themselves.
But test everything that is said. Hold on to what is good. Stay away from every kind of evil. But test everything; hold fast to what is good; abstain from every form of evil.
So I say, let the Holy Spirit guide your lives. Then you won’t be doing what your sinful nature craves.Live by the Spirit, I say, and do not gratify the desires of the flesh.
