- And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.

you hear my every sigh. - He will judge everyone according to what they have done.

even before I say it, Lord. - He replied, “What is impossible for people is possible with God.”
- Look straight ahead,
and fix your eyes on what lies before you. - Remember, it is sin to know what you ought to do and then not do it.
- We should help others do what is right and build them up in the Lord.
- You want what you don’t have, so you scheme and kill to get it. You are jealous of what others have, but you can’t get it, so you fight and wage war to take it away from them. Yet you don’t have what you want because you don’t ask God for it.
- You call me ‘Teacher’ and ‘Lord,’ and you are right, because that’s what I am.
- The Lord is for me, so I will have no fear.
What can mere people do to me? - Then what will you think if you see the Son of Man ascend to heaven again?
- That is what the Scriptures mean when they say,
“No eye has seen, no ear has heard,
and no mind has imagined
what God has prepared
for those who love him.” - And what do you benefit if you gain the whole world but lose your own soul?
- For this light within you produces only what is good and right and true.
- But if you look carefully into the perfect law that sets you free, and if you do what it says and don’t forget what you heard, then God will bless you for doing it.
- So you, too, must keep watch! For you don’t know what day your Lord is coming.
- Now this is what the Lord says to the family of Israel:
“Come back to me and live!”
