| And so does kindness, O Lord. You reward each person in accordance with his deeds. | Also unto thee, O Lord, belongeth mercy: for thou renderest to every man according to his work. |

| You need to be steadfast if you want to do the will of God and receive what he has promised. | For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise. |
| You intended to do evil to me, but God decided to make it serve a good, to fulfill that which today has come true: to keep alive a numerous people. | But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive. |

| Therefore, brethren, be diligent in providing a firm foundation for your call and election. | Bring the tithes in full into the treasury so that there may be food in my house.
