For the mind of the flesh is death, but the mind of the Spirit is life and peace. | For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. |
The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with all the saints. Amen. | The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen. |

But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you won’t fulfill the lust of the flesh. | This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. |
He is ‘the stone which was regarded as worthless by you, the builders, which has become the head of the corner.’ | This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner. |
The angel answered her, “The Holy Spirit will come on you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. Therefore also the holy one who is born from you will be called the Son of God.” | And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God. |
Yahweh is slow to anger, and great in power, and will by no means leave the guilty unpunished. Yahweh has his way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of his feet. | The Lord is slow to anger, and great in power, and will not at all acquit the wicked: the Lord hath his way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of his feet. |
God said, “Let’s make man in our image, after our likeness. Let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the sky, and over the livestock, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” | And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. |
The integrity of the upright shall guide them, but the perverseness of the treacherous shall destroy them. | The integrity of the upright shall guide them: but the perverseness of transgressors shall destroy them. |
Unless Yahweh builds the house, they who build it labor in vain. Unless Yahweh watches over the city, the watchman guards it in vain. | Except the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the Lord keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain. |
He who searches the hearts knows what is on the Spirit’s mind, because he makes intercession for the saints according to God. | And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God. |
Behold, happy is the man whom God corrects. Therefore do not despise the chastening of the Almighty. | Behold, happy is the man whom God correcteth: therefore despise not thou the chastening of the Almighty. |
You who love Yahweh, hate evil! He preserves the souls of his saints. He delivers them out of the hand of the wicked. | Ye that love the Lord, hate evil: he preserveth the souls of his saints; he delivereth them out of the hand of the wicked. |
Learn to do well. Seek justice. Relieve the oppressed. Defend the fatherless. Plead for the widow. | Learn to do well; seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow. |
Let the favor of the Lord our God be on us. Establish the work of our hands for us. Yes, establish the work of our hands. | And let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us: and establish thou the work of our hands upon us; yea, the work of our hands establish thou it. |
As you don’t know what is the way of the wind, nor how the bones grow in the womb of her who is with child; even so you don’t know the work of God who does all. | As thou knowest not what is the way of the spirit, nor how the bones do grow in the womb of her that is with child: even so thou knowest not the works of God who maketh all. |
For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, that you may not do the things that you desire. | For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. |
The fear of Yahweh is the beginning of knowledge, but the foolish despise wisdom and instruction. | The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction. |
Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all. | Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the Lord delivereth him out of them all. |
Then the Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of temptation and to keep the unrighteous under punishment for the day of judgment. | The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished. |
God blessed them. God said to them, “Be fruitful, multiply, fill the earth, and subdue it. Have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the sky, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.” | And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth. |
For, “Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.” | For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. |
I press on toward the goal for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. | I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. |
He loves righteousness and justice. The earth is full of the loving kindness of Yahweh. | He loveth righteousness and judgment: the earth is full of the goodness of the Lord. |
Looking to Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising its shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. | Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. |
Isn’t this the fast that I have chosen: to release the bonds of wickedness, to undo the straps of the yoke, to let the oppressed go free, and that you break every yoke? | Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke? |
