| What then are we to say? Should we continue in sin in order that grace may abound? By no means! How can we who died to sin go on living in it? | What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein? |

| Whoever heeds instruction is on the path to life, but one who rejects a rebuke goes astray. | He is in the way of life that keepeth instruction: but he that refuseth reproof erreth. |
| What then? Should we sin because we are not under law but under grace? By no means! | What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid. |
| Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the road is easy that leads to destruction, and there are many who take it. | If you obey the commandments of the Lord your God that I am commanding you today, by loving the Lord your God, walking in his ways, and observing his commandments, decrees, and ordinances, then you shall live and become numerous, and the Lord your God will bless you in the land that you are entering to possess. | In that I command thee this day to love the Lord thy God, to walk in his ways, and to keep his commandments and his statutes and his judgments, that thou mayest live and multiply: and the Lord thy God shall bless thee in the land whither thou goest to possess it. |
| You shall not make wrongful use of the name of the Lord your God, for the Lord will not acquit anyone who misuses his name. | Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain: for the Lord will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain. |
