My son, do not despise the Lord's discipline or be weary of his reproof, for the Lord reproves him whom he loves, as a father the son in whom he delights.My child, don’t reject the Lord’s discipline, and don’t be upset when he corrects you. For the Lord corrects those he loves, just as a father corrects a child in whom he delights.

When he had cleansed us from our sins, he sat down in the place of honor at the right hand of the majestic God in heaven.
The steps of a man are established by the Lord, when he delights in his way.The Lord directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives.
And he said to them, “Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.”Jesus called out to them, “Come, follow me, and I will show you how to fish for people!”
The Lord is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; he knows those who take refuge in him.The Lord is good, a strong refuge when trouble comes. He is close to those who trust in him.
Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people whom he has chosen as his heritage!What joy for the nation whose God is the Lord, whose people he has chosen as his inheritance.
For the Lord is our judge; the Lord is our lawgiver; the Lord is our king; he will save us.For the Lord is our judge, our lawgiver, and our king. He will care for us and save us.
And in Hades, being in torment, he lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham far off and Lazarus at his side. And he called out, ‘Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus to dip the end of his finger in water and cool my tongue, for I am in anguish in this flame.’And he went to the place of the dead. There, in torment, he saw Abraham in the far distance with Lazarus at his side. The rich man shouted, ‘Father Abraham, have some pity! Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you.So humble yourselves under the mighty power of God, and at the right time he will lift you up in honor.
