Jesus said to her, “Did I not tell you that if you believed, you would see the glory of God?” | Jesus saith unto her, Said I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God? |
Know therefore that the Lord your God is God, the faithful God who maintains covenant loyalty with those who love him and keep his commandments, to a thousand generations. | Know therefore that the Lord thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations. |
No one has ever seen God. It is God the only Son, who is close to the Father's heart, who has made him known. | No man hath seen God at any time, the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him. |
Therefore say to them, Thus says the Lord God: None of my words will be delayed any longer, but the word that I speak will be fulfilled, says the Lord God. | Therefore say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God; There shall none of my words be prolonged any more, but the word which I have spoken shall be done, saith the Lord God. |
Our God is in the heavens; he does whatever he pleases. | But our God is in the heavens: he hath done whatsoever he hath pleased. |
For a day in your courts is better than a thousand elsewhere. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than live in the tents of wickedness. | For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness. |
So now, O Israel, what does the Lord your God require of you? Only to fear the Lord your God, to walk in all his ways, to love him, to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul, and to keep the commandments of the Lord your God and his decrees that I am commanding you today, for your own well-being. | And now, Israel, what doth the Lord thy God require of thee, but to fear the Lord thy God, to walk in all his ways, and to love him, and to serve the Lord thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul, To keep the commandments of the Lord, and his statutes, which I command thee this day for thy good? |
Just so, I tell you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents. | Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth. |
So then, a sabbath rest still remains for the people of God; for those who enter God's rest also cease from their labors as God did from his. | There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God. For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his. |
I do not nullify the grace of God; for if justification comes through the law, then Christ died for nothing. | I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain. |
Then the Lord God said, “It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper as his partner.” | And the Lord God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him. |
For I have no pleasure in the death of anyone, says the Lord God. Turn, then, and live. | For I have no pleasure in the death of him that dieth, saith the Lord God: wherefore turn yourselves, and live ye. |
I will give thanks to the Lord with my whole heart; I will tell of all your wonderful deeds. | I will praise thee, O Lord, with my whole heart; I will shew forth all thy marvellous works. |
Do you not know that you are God's temple and that God's Spirit dwells in you? | Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? |
But this command I gave them, “Obey my voice, and I will be your God, and you shall be my people; and walk only in the way that I command you, so that it may be well with you.” | But this thing commanded I them, saying, Obey my voice, and I will be your God, and ye shall be my people: and walk ye in all the ways that I have commanded you, that it may be well unto you. |
Jesus answered him, “Very truly, I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God without being born from above.” | Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. |
You shall worship the Lord your God, and I will bless your bread and your water; and I will take sickness away from among you. | And ye shall serve the Lord your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee. |
