Jesus the way (4/4)

But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ.But we are citizens of heaven, where the Lord Jesus Christ lives. And we are eagerly waiting for him to return as our Savior.
But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far away have been brought near by the blood of Christ.But now you have been united with Christ Jesus. Once you were far away from God, but now you have been brought near to him through the blood of Christ.
Jesus is ‘the stone you builders rejected, which has become the cornerstone.’For Jesus is the one referred to in the Scriptures, where it says, ‘The stone that you builders rejected has now become the cornerstone.’
On hearing this, Jesus said, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick.”When Jesus heard this, he said, “Healthy people don’t need a doctor—sick people do.”
However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me—the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace.But my life is worth nothing to me unless I use it for finishing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus—the work of telling others the Good News about the wonderful grace of God.
“‘If you can’?” said Jesus. “Everything is possible for one who believes.”“What do you mean, ‘If I can’?” Jesus asked. “Anything is possible if a person believes.”
The Lord is slow to anger but great in power; the Lord will not leave the guilty unpunished. His way is in the whirlwind and the storm, and clouds are the dust of his feet.The Lord is slow to get angry, but his power is great, and he never lets the guilty go unpunished. He displays his power in the whirlwind and the storm. The billowing clouds are the dust beneath his feet.
On hearing this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. When Paul placed his hands on them, the Holy Spirit came on them, and they spoke in tongues and prophesied.As soon as they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. They were looking intently up into the sky as he was going, when suddenly two men dressed in white stood beside them. “Men of Galilee,” they said, “why do you stand here looking into the sky? This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven.”As they strained to see him rising into heaven, two white-robed men suddenly stood among them. “Men of Galilee,” they said, “why are you standing here staring into heaven? Jesus has been taken from you into heaven, but someday he will return from heaven in the same way you saw him go!”
Jesus answered, “Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit.”Jesus replied, “I assure you, no one can enter the Kingdom of God without being born of water and the Spirit.”
They all joined together constantly in prayer, along with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brothers.They all met together and were constantly united in prayer, along with Mary the mother of Jesus, several other women, and the brothers of Jesus.
He called you to this through our gospel, that you might share in the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.He called you to salvation when we told you the Good News; now you can share in the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him and he will do this: He will make your righteous reward shine like the dawn, your vindication like the noonday sun.Commit everything you do to the Lord. Trust him, and he will help you. He will make your innocence radiate like the dawn, and the justice of your cause will shine like the noonday sun.
Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, everyone who sins is a slave to sin.”Jesus replied, “I tell you the truth, everyone who sins is a slave of sin.”
Teach me your way, Lord, that I may rely on your faithfulness; give me an undivided heart, that I may fear your name.Teach me your ways, O Lord, that I may live according to your truth! Grant me purity of heart, so that I may honor you.
The Lord makes firm the steps of the one who delights in him.The Lord directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives.
Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you.Now may the Lord of peace himself give you his peace at all times and in every situation. The Lord be with you all.
She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.And she will have a son, and you are to name him Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins.
And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.And whatever you do or say, do it as a representative of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through him to God the Father.
On the last and greatest day of the festival, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, “Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink.”On the last day, the climax of the festival, Jesus stood and shouted to the crowds, “Anyone who is thirsty may come to me!”
In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.So you see, faith by itself isn’t enough. Unless it produces good deeds, it is dead and useless.
Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?”Jesus told her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Anyone who believes in me will live, even after dying. Everyone who lives in me and believes in me will never ever die. Do you believe this, Martha?”
But I gave them this command: Obey me, and I will be your God and you will be my people. Walk in obedience to all I command you, that it may go well with you.This is what I told them: ‘Obey me, and I will be your God, and you will be my people. Do everything as I say, and all will be well!’
Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”But Jesus said, “Let the children come to me. Don’t stop them! For the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to those who are like these children.”
But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever! Amen.Rather, you must grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. All glory to him, both now and forever! Amen.
