Beloved, we are God's children now; what we will be has not yet been revealed. What we do know is this: when he is revealed, we will be like him, for we will see him as he is. And all who have this hope in him purify themselves, just as he is pure.Dear friends, we are already God’s children, but he has not yet shown us what we will be like when Christ appears. But we do know that we will be like him, for we will see him as he really is. And all who have this eager expectation will keep themselves pure, just as he is pure.
For in it the righteousness of God is revealed through faith for faith; as it is written, “The one who is righteous will live by faith.”This Good News tells us how God makes us right in his sight. This is accomplished from start to finish by faith. As the Scriptures say, “It is through faith that a righteous person has life.”
For just as by the one man's disobedience the many were made sinners, so by the one man's obedience the many will be made righteous.Because one person disobeyed God, many became sinners. But because one other person obeyed God, many will be made righteous.
The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all they had heard and seen, as it had been told them. The shepherds went back to their flocks, glorifying and praising God for all they had heard and seen. It was just as the angel had told them.
To the one who conquers I will give a place with me on my throne, just as I myself conquered and sat down with my Father on his throne. Those who are victorious will sit with me on my throne, just as I was victorious and sat with my Father on his throne.
Just as you do not know how the breath comes to the bones in the mother's womb, so you do not know the work of God, who makes everything.Just as you cannot understand the path of the wind or the mystery of a tiny baby growing in its mother’s womb, so you cannot understand the activity of God, who does all things.
Every moving thing that lives shall be food for you; and just as I gave you the green plants, I give you everything. Only, you shall not eat flesh with its life, that is, its blood.I have given them to you for food, just as I have given you grain and vegetables. But you must never eat any meat that still has the lifeblood in it.
The tongue of the righteous is choice silver; the mind of the wicked is of little worth. The words of the godly are like sterling silver; the heart of a fool is worthless.
And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ has forgiven you.Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you.
Let your steadfast love, O Lord, be upon us, even as we hope in you.Let your unfailing love surround us, Lord, for our hope is in you alone.
So that, just as sin exercised dominion in death, so grace might also exercise dominion through justification leading to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.So just as sin ruled over all people and brought them to death, now God’s wonderful grace rules instead, giving us right standing with God and resulting in eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
To do righteousness and justice is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice. The Lord is more pleased when we do what is right and just than when we offer him sacrifices.
For a thousand years in your sight are like yesterday when it is past, or like a watch in the night. For you, a thousand years are as a passing day, as brief as a few night hours.
Bear with one another and, if anyone has a complaint against another, forgive each other; just as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive.Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others.
When Jesus heard this, he replied, “Do not fear. Only believe, and she will be saved.”But when Jesus heard what had happened, he said to Jairus, “Don’t be afraid. Just have faith, and she will be healed.”
But if the wicked turn away from all their sins that they have committed and keep all my statutes and do what is lawful and right, they shall surely live; they shall not die.But if wicked people turn away from all their sins and begin to obey my decrees and do what is just and right, they will surely live and not die.
Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and extol and honor the King of heaven, for all his works are truth, and his ways are justice; and he is able to bring low those who walk in pride. Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and glorify and honor the King of heaven. All his acts are just and true, and he is able to humble the proud.
Instead, as he who called you is holy, be holy yourselves in all your conduct; for it is written, “You shall be holy, for I am holy.”But now you must be holy in everything you do, just as God who chose you is holy. For the Scriptures say, “You must be holy because I am holy.”

For the husband is the head of the wife just as Christ is the head of the church, the body of which he is the Savior. For wives, this means submit to your husbands as to the Lord. For a husband is the head of his wife as Christ is the head of the church. He is the Savior of his body, the church.

My child, do not despise the Lord's discipline or be weary of his reproof, for the Lord reproves the one he loves, as a father the son in whom he delights. My child, don’t reject the Lord’s discipline, and don’t be upset when he corrects you. For the Lord corrects those he loves, just as a father corrects a child in whom he delights.
Rejoice greatly, O daughter Zion! Shout aloud, O daughter Jerusalem! Lo, your king comes to you; triumphant and victorious is he, humble and riding on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey.Rejoice, O people of Zion! Shout in triumph, O people of Jerusalem!
