Bible Verses about Receiving

  • So I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.
  • Whatever your task, put yourselves into it, as done for the Lord and not for your masters, since you know that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward; you serve the Lord Christ.
  • Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, so that your joy may be complete.
  • Ask, and it will be given you; search, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened for you.
  • And God is able to provide you with every blessing in abundance, so that by always having enough of everything, you may share abundantly in every good work.
  • Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap; for the measure you give will be the measure you get back.
  • If any of you is lacking in wisdom, ask God, who gives to all generously and ungrudgingly, and it will be given you.
  • I stretch out my hands to you;
my soul thirsts for you like a parched land. Selah
  • So we do not lose heart. Even though our outer nature is wasting away, our inner nature is being renewed day by day.
  • Cure the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers, cast out demons. You received without payment; give without payment.
  • As for you, the anointing that you received from him abides in you, and so you do not need anyone to teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about all things, and is true and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, abide in him.
  • He who did not withhold his own Son, but gave him up for all of us, will he not with him also give us everything else?
  • Likewise all to whom God gives wealth and possessions and whom he enables to enjoy them, and to accept their lot and find enjoyment in their toil—this is the gift of God.
  • I know that there is nothing better for them than to be happy and enjoy themselves as long as they live; moreover, it is God's gift that all should eat and drink and take pleasure in all their toil.
  • Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.
  • His divine power has given us everything needed for life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness.
  • But those who drink of the water that I will give them will never be thirsty. The water that I will give will become in them a spring of water gushing up to eternal life.
  • So that, with the eyes of your heart enlightened, you may know what is the hope to which he has called you, what are the riches of his glorious inheritance among the saints.
  • And we are witnesses to these things, and so is the Holy Spirit whom God has given to those who obey him.
  • And hope does not disappoint us, because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit that has been given to us.
  • Nevertheless I tell you the truth: it is to your advantage that I go away, for if I do not go away, the Advocate will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you.
  • This is what I have seen to be good: it is fitting to eat and drink and find enjoyment in all the toil with which one toils under the sun the few days of the life God gives us; for this is our lot.
  • The Lord said to Moses, “Come up to me on the mountain, and wait there; and I will give you the tablets of stone, with the law and the commandment, which I have written for their instruction.”
  • For you need endurance, so that when you have done the will of God, you may receive what was promised.
