Bible Verses about Receiving
So I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. | Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them. |
Whatever your task, put yourselves into it, as done for the Lord and not for your masters, since you know that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward; you serve the Lord Christ. | And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ. |
Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, so that your joy may be complete. | Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full. |
Ask, and it will be given you; search, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened for you. | Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. |
And God is able to provide you with every blessing in abundance, so that by always having enough of everything, you may share abundantly in every good work. | And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work. |
Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap; for the measure you give will be the measure you get back. | Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you. |
If any of you is lacking in wisdom, ask God, who gives to all generously and ungrudgingly, and it will be given you. | If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. |
I stretch out my hands to you; my soul thirsts for you like a parched land. Selah | I spread out my hands to You; My soul longs for You like a thirsty land. Selah |
So we do not lose heart. Even though our outer nature is wasting away, our inner nature is being renewed day by day. | Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day. |
Cure the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers, cast out demons. You received without payment; give without payment. | Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give. |
As for you, the anointing that you received from him abides in you, and so you do not need anyone to teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about all things, and is true and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, abide in him. | But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you will abide in Him. |
He who did not withhold his own Son, but gave him up for all of us, will he not with him also give us everything else? | He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? |
Likewise all to whom God gives wealth and possessions and whom he enables to enjoy them, and to accept their lot and find enjoyment in their toil—this is the gift of God. | As for every man to whom God has given riches and wealth, and given him power to eat of it, to receive his heritage and rejoice in his labor—this is the gift of God. |
I know that there is nothing better for them than to be happy and enjoy themselves as long as they live; moreover, it is God's gift that all should eat and drink and take pleasure in all their toil. | I know that nothing is better for them than to rejoice, and to do good in their lives, and also that every man should eat and drink and enjoy the good of all his labor—it is the gift of God. |
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled. | Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, For they shall be filled. |
His divine power has given us everything needed for life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. | As His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue. |
But those who drink of the water that I will give them will never be thirsty.
