| If we say that we have fellowship with Him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. | If we claim that we have fellowship with him while we continue to live in darkness, we are lying and do not live in the truth. |
| The world is passing away and also its lusts; but the one who does the will of God continues to live forever. | And the world with all its enticements is passing away, but whoever does the will of God abides forever. |
