Bible Verses about Listening

You know this, my beloved brothers and sisters. Now everyone must be quick to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger.Remember this, my beloved brethren: everyone should be quick to listen but slow to speak and slow to anger.
But He said, “On the contrary, blessed are those who hear the word of God and follow it.”Jesus replied, “Blessed, rather, are those who hear the word of God and obey it!”
Call to Me and I will answer you, and I will tell you great and mighty things, which you do not know.Call to me and I will answer you and reveal to you great and mysterious secrets about which you are unaware.
But prove yourselves doers of the word, and not just hearers who deceive themselves.Be doers of the word and not just hearers who only deceive themselves.
This is the confidence which we have before Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.And thus we can have confidence in him that if we ask anything that is in accordance with his will, he hears us.
Then you will call upon Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. When you call out to me and come forth and pray to me, I will listen to you.
I love the Lord, because He hears My voice and my pleas. Because He has inclined His ear to me, Therefore I will call upon Him as long as I live.I love the Lord because he has heard my voice and listened to my cry for mercy, because he has inclined his ear to me on the day when I called out to him.
One who pays attention to the word will find good, And blessed is one who trusts in the Lord. The one who pays heed to instruction prospers, and blessed is he who trusts in the Lord.
Therefore, everyone who hears these words of Mine, and acts on them, will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock.Everyone who hears these words of mine and acts in accordance with them will be like a wise man who constructed his house on a rock foundation.
As for the things you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.Do the things that you have learned, received, and heard from me and that you saw me doing. Then the God of peace will be with you.
And if we know that He hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests which we have asked from Him.And if we know that he hears us in regard to whatever we ask him, we may be sure that all we ask of him will be ours.
Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with Me.Behold, I am standing at the door, knocking. If one of you hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and dine with that person and that person with me.
So faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ. So then, faith comes from what is heard, and what is heard comes through the word of Christ.
In my distress I called upon the Lord, And cried to my God for help; He heard my voice from His temple, And my cry for help before Him came into His ears.In my anguish I cried out to the Lord and called to my God for help. From his temple he heard my voice, and my cry to him reached his ears.
One who is on the path of life follows instruction, But one who ignores a rebuke goes astray.Whoever heeds admonition is on the path to life, but anyone who rejects correction goes astray.
My son, pay attention to my words; Incline your ear to my sayings. They are not to escape from your sight; Keep them in the midst of your heart. My son, concentrate attentively on my words; pay heed to the instructions I pass on to you. Do not let them slip from your mind; keep them forever in your heart.
In the morning, Lord, You will hear my voice; In the morning I will present my prayer to You and be on the watch.O Lord, at daybreak you hear my voice; at daybreak I bring my petition before you and await your reply.
“If you do not listen, and if you do not take it to heart to give honor to My name,” says the Lord of armies, “then I will send the curse upon you and I will curse your blessings; and indeed, I have cursed them already, because you are not taking it to heart.”If you refuse to listen to me and do not sincerely resolve to give glory to my name, says the Lord of hosts, I will send a curse on you, and I will turn your blessings into a curse. Indeed, I have already done so because you have not heeded my warning.
The eyes of the Lord are toward the righteous, And His ears are toward their cry for help. The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and his ears are open to their cry.
You shall follow the Lord your God and fear Him; and you shall keep His commandments, listen to His voice, serve Him, and cling to Him.It is the Lord, your God, whom you are to follow. You must fear him and observe his commandments and obey what he tells you and serve him and hold fast to him.

So then, does He who provides you with the Spirit and works miracles among you, do it by works of the Law, or by hearing with faith?Does God give you the Spirit and work mighty deeds among you because you have kept the Law or because you believed what you have heard?
But He answered and said, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes out of the mouth of God.’ ”Jesus answered, “As it is written: ‘Man does not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes forth from the mouth of God.’ ”
Accordingly, whatever you have said in the dark will be heard in the light, and what you have whispered in the inner rooms will be proclaimed on the housetops. Therefore, whatever you have said in the dark will be heard in the daylight, and what you have whispered behind closed doors will be shouted from the housetops.
