| He loves righteousness and justice; The earth is full of the goodness of the Lord. | He loveth righteousness and judgment: the earth is full of the goodness of the Lord. |
| The integrity of the upright will guide them, But the perversity of the treacherous will destroy them. | The integrity of the upright shall guide them: but the perverseness of transgressors shall destroy them. |
| The eyes of the Lord are toward the righteous, And His ears are toward their cry for help. | The eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry. |
| Who is the one who overcomes the world, but the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God? | Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God? |
| One thing I have asked from the Lord, that I shall seek: That I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, To behold the beauty of the Lord And to meditate in His temple. | One thing have I desired of the Lord, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to enquire in his temple. |
| Unless the Lord builds a house, They who build it labor in vain; Unless the Lord guards a city, The watchman stays awake in vain. | Except the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the Lord keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain. |
| Looking only at Jesus, the originator and perfecter of the faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. | Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. |
| Then God said, “Let Us make mankind in Our image, according to Our likeness; and let them rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over the livestock and over all the earth, and over every crawling thing that crawls on the earth.” | And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. |
| Behold, happy is the person whom God disciplines, So do not reject the discipline of the Almighty. | Behold, happy is the man whom God correcteth: therefore despise not thou the chastening of the Almighty. |
| For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but so that the world might be saved through Him. | For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. |
| The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge; Fools despise wisdom and instruction. | The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction. |
| Then the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from a trial, and to keep the unrighteous under punishment for the day of judgment. | The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished. |
| Just as you do not know the path of the wind, and how bones are formed in the womb of the pregnant woman, so you do not know the activity of God who makes everything. | As thou knowest not what is the way of the spirit, nor how the bones do grow in the womb of her that is with child: even so thou knowest not the works of God who maketh all. |
| Learn to do good; Seek justice, Rebuke the oppressor, Obtain justice for the orphan, Plead for the widow’s case. | Learn to do well; seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow. |
| May the kindness of the Lord our God be upon us; And confirm for us the work of our hands; Yes, confirm the work of our hands. | And let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us: and establish thou the work of our hands upon us; yea, the work of our hands establish thou it. |
| Grandchildren are the crown of the old, And the glory of sons is their fathers. | Children's children are the crown of old men; and the glory of children are their fathers. |
| The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God has come near; repent and believe in the gospel. | The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel. |
| One who dwells in the shelter of the Most High Will lodge in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say to the Lord, “My refuge and my fortress, My God, in whom I trust!” | He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. |
| Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, The people He has chosen for His own inheritance. | Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance. |
| Is this not the fast that I choose: To release the bonds of wickedness, To undo the ropes of the yoke, And to let the oppressed go free, And break every yoke? | Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke? |
| For “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” | For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. |
