Thank you (2/4)

If the world hates you, remember that it hated me first. If the world hates you, you know that it has hated me before it hated you.
You didn’t choose me. I chose you. I appointed you to go and produce lasting fruit, so that the Father will give you whatever you ask for, using my name. You didn’t choose me, but I chose you and appointed you, that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain; that whatever you will ask of the Father in my name, he may give it to you.
But I say, love your enemies! Pray for those who persecute you!But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you.
But you have received the Holy Spirit, and he lives within you, so you don’t need anyone to teach you what is true. For the Spirit teaches you everything you need to know, and what he teaches is true—it is not a lie. So just as he has taught you, remain in fellowship with Christ. As for you, the anointing which you received from him remains in you, and you don’t need for anyone to teach you. But as his anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is no lie, and even as it taught you, you will remain in him.
Let me now remind you, dear brothers and sisters, of the Good News I preached to you before. You welcomed it then, and you still stand firm in it. It is this Good News that saves you if you continue to believe the message I told you—unless, of course, you believed something that was never true in the first place. Now I declare to you, brothers, the Good News which I preached to you, which also you received, in which you also stand, by which also you are saved, if you hold firmly the word which I preached to you—unless you believed in vain.
Come and listen to my counsel. I’ll share my heart with you and make you wise.Turn at my reproof. Behold, I will pour out my spirit on you. I will make known my words to you.
So you must remain faithful to what you have been taught from the beginning. If you do, you will remain in fellowship with the Son and with the Father. Therefore, as for you, let that remain in you which you heard from the beginning. If that which you heard from the beginning remains in you, you also will remain in the Son, and in the Father.
When God raised up his servant, Jesus, he sent him first to you people of Israel, to bless you by turning each of you back from your sinful ways.God, having raised up his servant Jesus, sent him to you first to bless you, in turning away every one of you from your wickedness.
Now, who will want to harm you if you are eager to do good? Now who will harm you if you become imitators of that which is good?
I tell you, you can pray for anything, and if you believe that you’ve received it, it will be yours. Therefore I tell you, all things whatever you pray and ask for, believe that you have received them, and you shall have them.
You can pray for anything, and if you have faith, you will receive it.All things, whatever you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive.
You have already been pruned and purified by the message I have given you.You are already pruned clean because of the word which I have spoken to you.
Don’t you realize that all of you together are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God lives in you?Don’t you know that you are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit lives in you?
Jesus responded, “Didn’t I tell you that you would see God’s glory if you believe?”Jesus said to her, “Didn’t I tell you that if you believed, you would see God’s glory?”
The Lord himself will fight for you. Just stay calm.Yahweh will fight for you, and you shall be still.
When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you, and through the rivers, they will not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned, and flame will not scorch you.
Again he said, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, so I am sending you.”Jesus therefore said to them again, “Peace be to you. As the Father has sent me, even so I send you.”
If you forgive those who sin against you, your heavenly Father will forgive you.For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.
But the Lord is faithful; he will strengthen you and guard you from the evil one.But the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one.
And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Advocate, who will never leave you.I will pray to the Father, and he will give you another Counselor, that he may be with you forever.
I ask you again, does God give you the Holy Spirit and work miracles among you because you obey the law? Of course not! It is because you believe the message you heard about Christ. He therefore who supplies the Spirit to you and does miracles among you, does he do it by the works of the law, or by hearing of faith?
For I long to visit you so I can bring you some spiritual gift that will help you grow strong in the Lord. When we get together, I want to encourage you in your faith, but I also want to be encouraged by yours. For I long to see you, that I may impart to you some spiritual gift, to the end that you may be established; that is, that I with you may be encouraged in you, each of us by the other’s faith, both yours and mine.
If you had really known me, you would know who my Father is. From now on, you do know him and have seen him!If you had known me, you would have known my Father also. From now on, you know him and have seen him.
You may think you can condemn such people, but you are just as bad, and you have no excuse! When you say they are wicked and should be punished, you are condemning yourself, for you who judge others do these very same things. Therefore you are without excuse, O man, whoever you are who judge. For in that which you judge another, you condemn yourself. For you who judge practice the same things.
I have told you these things so that you will be filled with my joy. Yes, your joy will overflow!I have spoken these things to you, that my joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be made full.

For if you are trying to make yourselves right with God by keeping the law, you have been cut off from Christ! You have fallen away from God’s grace. You are alienated from Christ, you who desire to be justified by the law. You have fallen away from grace.
